i was sound asleep. my grandfather appeared in a dream. he asked why i had never visited him and grandma at the cemetery. he said that even my mom hadn’t visited since october 4 (grandma’s birthday). he told me that, when i was young, i had walked out into a pond and slipped under water. he had rescued me. he said grandma was supposed to be watching me, but that she had gotten sick all of a sudden and was throwing up. it was probably the fresh blackberries they had picked and eaten earlier. grandma had a bad stomach.

my parents were out on a boat in the pond. they did not know that grandpa had saved me until they got back to shore. i was in a towel and my clothes were drying on bushes. my brown and white buster brown shoes were also soaked. i was only three years old, grandpa said. my parents were angry at first, but when they saw that grandma was still feeling sick, they forgave her.

grandpa told me that we had a picnic after that. the four of us ate some chicken, potato salad, and homemade cookies. we drank lemonade. then grandpa took me for a walk in the woods (i sat on his shoulders). i saw some daisies, and we picked them. when we returned, i presented three daisies to mom and three to grandma, who was finally feeling better. grandpa said to bring some daisies to the gravesite. then i woke up.

the next day, i called my mom. “do you remember me walking into the pond and grandpa rescuing me?”

“yes, but your father and i never told you about it because grandma swore us to silence. even though it wasn’t her fault, she felt that she had failed in her responsibility, and never wanted you to know about it. my goodness, that was so long ago. who told you this?”

“mom, did i go for a walk with grandpa and return with daisies for you and grandma?”

“okay, i get it. you and your dad are playing some kind of prank. okay, it’s very funny. now, quit it.”

“this is no prank, mom. grandpa told me this in a dream last night.”

“no, i’m serious. he told me that grandma had a reaction to blackberries. he said i was wearing brown and white buster brown shoes. he said i gave you and grandma daisies.”

“oh, my god. your father would never remember all this. it must be daddy! did he say anything about visiting his gravesite?”

“yes, that was his problem. he wanted me to visit them. he also said you had not visited since—”

“wait for me! i’m coming with you, and i’ve got to bring those daisies. maybe we’d better start going every year, huh, mom?”

“yes. there’s no telling what grandpa might tell you next time.”

good afternoon everybody! it's my honor to speak here and i am very glad to share my topic with all of you. today i'd like to talk about “my dream”. i do not just have one dream, in fact, i have three. they are: a healthy life, a happy family and to travel my great country.

i have always admired the long healthy life my grandparents have. they are older than 80 years of age and they are still alive and kicking! how do they do that!? my grandparents plant vegetables and grow rice themselves; even in their old age they still make food for themselves! i guess that is why they can remain healthy. more importantly they remain humble and never ask for too much from life. perhaps that makes them common, but they live a happy life. my grandmother once told me this:” i do not want to live long, only long enough for some grand children to be running around in my house”. i want to live a long, healthy and happy life just as they have.

since my graduation from primary school, until now, every time on my birthday i make the same wish. i wish my parents will not fight anymore. i am not complaining that they gave me a bad childhood, they just fight so much! i am unhappy but that does not mean they do not love me. they do! they love me with all their heart. i love my parents also; i want them to live a happy life as well.

i want to travel this great country of ours. i want to see the beauty of our country. i want to see the miracles that made this country great! i want to go from the east to west, from the north all the way down to the south! i have a dream, that one day i can travel and see my country with my family and friends! if that is not possible, seeing my country on my own is good enough also. if i can fulfill all three of my dreams in life, then god can take me away. i would be happy, and l would have lived a full and prosperous life.

recently, ther is a heated debate in our society. the college students are the beneficiaries of a rare privilege, who receive exceptional education at extraordinary places. but will we be able to face the challenge and support ourselves against all odds? will we be able to better the lives of others? will we be able to accept the responsibility of building the future of our country?

the cynics say the college students are the pampered lost generation, which would cringe at the slightest discomfort. but the cynics are wrong. the college students i see are eagerly learning about how to live independently. we help each other clean the dormitory, go shopping and bargain together, and take part time jobs to supplement our pocket money.

the cynics say we care for nothing other than grades; and we neglect the need for character cultivation. but again, the cynics are wrong. we care deeply for each other, we cherish freedom, we treasure justice, and we seek truth. last week, thousands of my fellow students had their blood type tested in order to make a contribution for the children who suffer from blood cancer.

as college students, we are adolescents at the critical turning point in our lives. we all face a fundamental choice: cynicism or faith, each will profoundly impact our future, or even the future of our country. i believe in all my fellow classmates. though we are still inexperienced and even a little bit childish. i believe that we have the courage and faith to meet any challenge and take on our responsibilities. we are preparing to assume new responsibilities and tasks, and to use the education we have received to make our world a better place. i believe in our future.

today on 15th august 20xx india is celebrating its 67th independence day, and we indians are proud to say we have owned our freedom 67 years old back. as we gather here today i take the opportunity to congratulate every student and teacher of this school/college a happy independence day! i also take the opportunity of welcoming you our chief guest for today!

we have assembled here to celebrate our 67th independence day. as a citizen of india, i am so proud to talk to you about my mother india. on the night of august 14, 1947, pandit jawaharlal nehru rose to make a maiden speech in new delhi, “when the world sleeps, india will wake to life and freedom.” yes, india became free from the bondage of british rule. now, india is the largest democratic country in the world. the country’s strength is to find, “unity in diversity”. but, there are stray incidents that test her secularism but the people of india are ready to sacrifice anything for the cause of unity. today we remember the great leaders who gave their lives for the nation’s freedom and prosperity. dr. dkar gave the longest written constitution to us. pandit jawaharlal nehru worked for an industrialized india. gandhi ji taught us ahimsa and non-violence. subash chandra bose inducted courage in us. swami vivekanand gave us spiritual power. yes, with these contributions; india will be the super power in the coming years. our former president abdul kalam called the children of india to dream to build a strong nation with aim and perseverance. indeed! this is not a word of a single man. it is word of one billionsouls.

my after school life is very rich drawing swimming... say my favorite is the photography. my home have a digital camera in the school art festival photography contest last year i use it to take photo also won the prize. this year in order to support me to learn photography dad bought a nikon dslr i feel very fresh suddenly fell in love with photography.

rest day dad took me to the pictures. i learn the scenery i find a beautiful place with the lens amplification a press the shutter press play button again you can see the photos. i have a look ah using slr is clear! but when in the movement of objects is blurry. "why is this?" i asked my father. father said: "with a pattern of the movement." i quickly transferred to the movement pattern let dad running i put the pictures down so clear! back home i took photos and appreciate again flattered.

although i do not understand the many functions of the camera the camera but in his free time photography became my favorite thing to do. wait until the next photo contest held in school i would seize the wonderful moment captured the beautiful campus dear teacher lovely classmates; leave the green grass colorful flowers lush branches...

hello, ladies and gentlemen. it’s great to be here. first of all, thanks for your coming. tonight, what i am gonna talk about is innovation. who can tell me what is innovation? we all know that, since 1978, china has been through the greatest changes brought by the reform and opening-up. so what we can see from the reform and opening-up? the power of innovation. that’s why i am here. i am here to show you my chinese dream. i want to talk about the future and how we're going to win it.

if we want to make innovation. but firstly, we should make sure that china is a place where we can make it if we try, where we can go as far as hard work and big dreams will take us. we understand that it’s not going to be a cakewalk, this competition for the future, which means all of us are going to have to do our best. we are going to have to win the future by being smarter and working harder and working together.

innovation is the spirit of our country, the motive force for our country’s prosperity. sparking the imagination and creativity of our people, unleashing new discoveries -- that's what china will do better than any other country on earth. from the moment we have a new idea, we can explore it; we can develop it with a research grant; we can protect it with a patent; we can market it with a loan to start a new business. we’ve got a chain that takes a great idea all the way through. we must be confirmed that, today, the challenges we face are real. they are serious and they are many. they will not be met easily or in a short span of time. but we will somehow find a way to overcome the difficulties.

my major is . my job is to discover or create new drugs for many diseases like cancer. you know that laboratory is the place where miracles happen. believe it or not. what i do can save millions of people’s lives. for a long time, what challenges me is how to commercialize research. you come up with a great idea, but moving that new discovery from theory to practice or from the lab to the marketplace, that's really a big job. that’s what we should focus on. we need to act with a sense of urgency-to study and work and create as if the fate of the country depends on us-because it does. it depends on us. thank you!

our new president xi jinping came up with the dream of the chinese nation's rejuvenation on december 29, 20xx. he said: the chinese dream is a dream of national strength prosperity and people's happiness. our people have an ardent love for life. they wish to have better education, more stable jobs, more income, greater social security , better medical and health care, improved housing conditions and better environment, they want their children to grow well, have ideal jobs and lead a more enjoyable life. to meet their desire for a happy life is our mission."

our great dream. he said : to realize the dream, china must take the road of socialism with chinese characteristics. the country must also foster the chinese spirit,in which patriotism and the spirit of reform and innovation play a core role, and unite 1.3 billion people of all ethnicities into a great source of strength.

can i do for our great chinese dream ? as we all know that the wiser the youths are ,the wiser the nation will be;the wealthier the youths are ,the wealthier the nation will be;the stronger the youths are ,the stronger the nation

will be. here the word wealthy means: enriching our knowledge reserve. as a new generation of science, every one here shouldering the great historical mission of ma-ki-ng china powerful and strong. you may say that this may exaggerate our role, but i want to say you are wrong. if i am a little screw our great dream may be a multifunction and complex machine. through this example i just want to say i am very tiny but i am indispensable .

i believe that as long as all of our university students unite together and perform our own functions that study hard in school and work hard after we graduating from university . we must be able to achieve our great dream meanwhile enrich ourselves unwittingly!

president xi also said:we are closer than in any other time of history to the goal of rejuvenating the chinese nation. we are more confident and capable of achieving this goal than in any other period of history,"

lets us unite together to realize chinese nation's great rejuvenation to struggle!
