我家養了兩條熱帶魚，一條是紅色的、一條是黃色的，我給它們分別取了名字叫小紅和小黃。剛買回熱帶魚時，它們還是剛出生的幼仔呢，而現在，已是一條健壯的熱帶魚了。
小黃是條雌性魚，它眼睛圓圓的，像一個黑色的玻璃球兒，它的嘴巴小小的，身上的魚鱗是金色的，陽光照在小黃身上，從遠處看，像黃金一樣閃耀。小黃的尾巴更是奇怪，尾巴大大的，淡黃的顏色夾着豹子的花紋，像一把小扇子，好象要給我們扇風似的。小紅更是美麗了，它一身紅彤彤的，頭上有兩隻鼓鼓的大眼睛，像一個大大的閃光燈炮似的。小紅那紅豔的尾巴好象在它身上穿了一條喇叭裙。
我一有時間就去看我那美麗的小熱帶魚，如果它們餓了，我會拿出幾粒熱帶魚飼料餵它們。在投放食物時，我總會説：“小黃、小紅，來吃飯嘍！”小紅彷彿聽懂了我的話，迅速地遊了過來。而小黃呢，卻擺了擺尾巴，不緊不慢的向我游來。接着，它們就你一粒、我一粒，爭先恐後地吃了起來。
我從來沒有見過熱帶魚睡覺，那怕很晚，它也睜着眼睛一動不動。我很奇怪，難道熱帶魚是不睡覺的嗎？後來媽媽告訴我，魚是沒有眼皮的，即使它睡着了，眼睛也是睜着的，這時，我才恍然大悟。

奶奶家養了一條小白狗，因為它是白色，奶奶説叫“白”字的名字不好聽，所以取了名叫“貝貝”。
貝貝除了尾巴和腳，其它地方全是白色的。它的尾巴是半黑半黃的，腳是純黑色的，鼻子上還有點白色。它的耳朵耷拉着，眼睛稍微帶點玫紅，嘴巴小小的，是櫻桃小嘴。貝貝看起來有點嚇人，它對主人温文爾雅，對陌生人謹小慎微，暴烈如虎。
有一次，奶奶家來了爺爺的一位老朋友來看爺爺，他顯然是非常喜歡小狗的。一見到貝貝，嘴裏連聲説着：“我身上有狗喜歡的味道，它不會咬我的。”爺爺説：“我們家的狗可不懂你身上的味。”他伸手去撫摸貝貝，可萬萬沒有想到，我們貝貝果然不懂，回頭就是一口，嚇得這位爺爺大驚失色。
還有一次，我買了一支冰棍，它見我回來，把飯盆叼了過來，向我討吃的。於是我把冰棍給了它，它還真的吃了。我又買了一包巧克力，剛打開它就撲過來搶走了，還向我搖了搖尾巴表示謝謝，氣得我直跺腳。而且它還會照鏡子呢！經常在鏡子前走來走去，真是臭美。
我喜歡貝貝，更喜歡它的調皮。
