可是我的姥爺就不是，他最愛的就是在家旁種地。
我的姥爺是個十分樂觀的人，他在早年時期因為一場意外而失去了一條手臂，遇到這樣的事，許多人就自暴自棄。但是姥爺不是，他從來沒有十分悲傷的情緒，每天都是樂呵呵的，有自己很喜歡乾的事情。
我的姥爺也是一個愛創新且堅持不懈的人，他有一塊土，只是普普通通的一塊地，但是在姥爺的手裏它卻變成了一塊寶。我住在成都，可姥爺是在內蒙古，以前幾乎每一年老爺都要過來看我。姥爺在成都經常發現這裏的蔬菜和內蒙古的菜不同，這裏的菜品種更多，樣式也是多種多樣。有很多的菜的味道，也是十分的美味。姥爺很好吃，十分喜歡成都的飯，但是在內蒙古又吃不到這樣的菜，於是他買了許多菜的種子或根帶回去，在他的那一小塊地方種。但是之所以兩地的菜不同，是因為南方和北方的氣候截然不同，所以老爺想在北方種出南方的菜，一聽上去都是天方夜譚了，姥爺帶回去的東西，大多數在實驗的那一年，甚至近幾年都是一無所獲的。很多人就認為姥爺應該會放棄，但是他沒有，他繼續種。正是功夫不負有心人，姥爺的成果在後來都一一顯露了出來。
我的姥爺還是一個十分慈祥，十分愛孩子的人，我雖然住的地方和姥爺住的地方相隔甚遠，但是老爺爺經常記着我，時不時的就打一通電話過來。
“喂？外孫女，姥爺今年種的菜成熟了，找時間給你寄點過去。”

一進門，就看見小院子裏種滿了各種各樣的蘭花，有七仙女荷花素大軟劍鐵骨素心跳舞蘭等等，真像到了蘭花的海洋，眼睛應接不暇。
一朵黃色的小花靜靜地開在綠葉叢中，蘭花有五個淡綠色的瓣，中間是黃色的花芯，光彩照人，綠和黃搭配起來美麗無比，湊近一聞，一股淡淡的幽香就就傳了過來。
蘭花蘭花説到頭最重要的是花。蘭花開時，是由三個外瓣三個捧瓣和一個花蕊組成。整朵花全是黃色的，其中捧瓣的黃色裏面還有許多咖啡色的點。蘭花從古至今一直讓人喜愛，明朝文徵明曾説過：久坐不知香在室，推窗時有蝶飛來就是來寫蘭花的。蘭花在遠處聞，可以聞到香，可近了就聞不到香味了。
