“五一”國際勞動節起源於美國。1886年5月1日，美國工人舉行了大罷工，要求改善勞動條件，實行每天八小時工作制。工人們團結戰鬥，奪得了罷工的勝利。人們為了紀念這次勝利，就把這一天定為國際勞動節。現在，勞動者已經成為我們國家的主人，勞動條件得到了極大的改善，因此每年的“五一”，成為讚美勞動者、歌頌勞動者的節日。
