前面，唐宋800首詩詞，滿腹經綸的我，神采奕奕，每天都十分開心。後面，我還有中國歷史，介紹十大名著之類的名書，我還講述了哥倫布等外國人的偉大事蹟。

比如：《尼爾斯騎鵝旅行記》是瑞典女作家塞爾瑪?拉格洛夫寫的長篇童話。它是世界文學史上第一部，也是至今唯一一部獲得諾貝爾文學獎的童話作品。

?尼爾斯騎鵝旅行記》講一個不愛學習、喜歡惡作劇的頑皮孩子，因為一次捉弄小妖精，而被小妖精施了魔法變成了一個小人兒。他騎在大白鵝背上，跟着一羣大雁開始了長途旅行。在旅行中，尼爾斯遇到了一些兇險的敵人，也結識了一些新朋友，增長了見識。他在困難中得到鍛鍊，最後回到家中，恢復了原形，變成了一個好孩子。

在中間我還插入了許多幽默的故事。主人每天不管忙不忙，都要看我一會兒。每一天都拿着他的摘記本，看着我的內容摘，記着一些十分重要的事情。

秋天的一個清晨，我起得很早，我打算與爺爺去“搖桂花”，這是上海人的一種習俗，我們一人提着一隻籃子，來到後院。

沒等爺爺開口，我已經扯着樹，歡天喜地地搖起來了。“刷——”頓時，金黃的桂花像金黃的小蝴蝶一樣在高空中漫天飛舞，我情不自禁地扔掉籃子，張開雙臂，去迎接桂花仙子的落地。

頃刻間，我的頭上、衣服上撒滿了桂花，着實讓我成了一個“桂花人”。看看爺爺，他還愣愣地站在那裏。良久，他才緩過神來。

我們把搖下來的桂花都放在籃子裏，拿到陽台上去曬。過了幾天，我們又把它做成桂花糕。我們品嚐了幾塊，啊！香味在嘴裏環繞，令人回味無窮。

我們把桂花糕拿到南路路上去賣，果然，幾十塊糕點馬上就賣光了。

上國小時，全家要遷到杭州。我們捨不得那些桂花樹，但樹又帶不回來，我們只好把桂花樹上的桂花搖下來，裝去杭州。

到杭州的第一件事，便是把桂花換成錢，去買種子種桂花樹。因為我們全家都太喜歡桂花了。
